The user-friendly DICOM Importer is now available as a free download.
The medavis DICOM Importer is an extraordinary solution to import DICOM data from CD or any other source directly into your archive. The preview function enables you to select images prior to import. Alternatively, you can use the built-in quick import to directly store all data from a medium (CD, DVD, etc.) in your archive - no selection process required. Functions like zoom, pan and window/level adjustment are considered standard.
medavis DICOM Importer supports the operating systems Microsoft® Windows XP™ and Microsoft® Windows Vista™. It is free for non-commercial use for an unlimited time period and may be copied freely.

The document which you can download here contains the HL7 interface specification for connecting an external system to medavis RIS.
With this document you can check, for example, whether medavis RIS and your HIS can communicate via the HL7 interface.
medavis RIS implements the HL7 Standard in all releases from 2.2 to 2.5 of the German version.
