medavis looks back on a successful MEDICA 2010

medavis presented its high-performance radiology software solution and the increasingly networked world of healthcare at this year’s Medica, from 17 to 20 November. Especially in demand at medavis’ booth were portal4med and gateway4med, the new web-based network solutions for communication across multiple locations and areas of specialisation. This has been confirmed by the numerous discussions that took place at the event with hospital representatives, IT managers, as well as German and international business partners.

medavis at the 5th Congress of Croatian Society of Radiology

Over 350 radiologists from Croatia and bordering countries plus local and international speakers from EU and USA congressed from 13 – 16 October 2010 in Opatija, Croatia.

As a sponsor, medavis attended the event for the 2nd time, lecturing on “Integration Scenario and Architecture of HIS/RIS/PACS systems". Many visitors took the opportunity to visit our booth, to get to know the latest RIS 3 highlights and to experience the first-time live integration of medavis RIS 3 in the most common Croatian HIS.

medavis successfully participated at CMEF Autumn 2010, Shenyang, P.R. China

As the largest medical equipment trade fair in China, the CMEF Autumn attracted a numerous amount of national and international visitors.

Once again a highlight was the medavis exhibition endowed with cutting edge radiological IT solutions.

A countless number of the audience showing  keen interest were potential clients, which proves the rapid international progress of medavis within China and beyond.

medavis headquarters in a buzz! The week-long partner qualification in Karlsruhe

In the week from 07- 11/6/2010, medavis were delighted to welcome representatives from EU countries, Turkey and the Middle East to the company’s headquarters in Karlsruhe, Germany.

The busy training week began with a friendly warm-up session, followed by an introduction to the many new developments and products in the medavis product range.

Here, our guests became acquainted with the new Server-Monitoring application and the medavis Update Center. The Server-Monitoring application enables us to proactively monitor both local and remote servers. The Update Center, on the other hand, is an in-house platform for the simple and safe distribution of software and documentation to customers. Another recent addition is WEB 4, a new Web platform for intersectional cross-enterprise clinical workflows. Amongst the latest developments, the guest’s attention was particularly attracted by the live demo of the integrated speech recognition function. 

The focus of the following two days was the subject of sales, complemented by the invaluable experiences of our partners in their own countries. Our midweek barbecue on the banks of the Rhine unexpectedly turned into a little adventure for both guests and medavis staff. What began as a sunny barbecue, ended up with us taking refuge in a converted double-decker bus, after a raging thunderstorm and torrential downpour. Soaked but happy, we said our goodbyes, firm in the knowledge that we would remember this evening for a long time.   

The week ended with two days of technical training, using numerous practical exercises to aid the understanding of the new additions. Finally, all participants gladly received their well-deserved certificates, confirming their status as certified medavis partners. We thank all of our guests for their visit and their huge level of commitment during the training week.  Meeting our partners has been an extremely valuable experience for us and we are already looking forward to our next meeting.

Radiological Congress a success for medavis 

91st German Radiological Congress, 12-15 May 2010, Berlin

Once again, medavis presented its portfolio of IT systems for the optimisation of the entire radiological process chain.

The new RIS 3 was introduced, with its new look & feel, as well as many innovative new functions, including the directly integrated speech recognition system.

Customers and visitors from clinics and practices used the opportunity to inform themselves about all of the new features of the tailor-made for radiology portfolio and the efficiency of medavis solutions.

We would like to thank all of our visitors for their interest and feedback and we look forward to seeing you all again in Hamburg next year!

With 19,000 visitors this year, more than ever before, the ECR once again underscored its role as the most important radiology event in Europe. medavis also took part with a greatly enlarged presence and exhibited its global software solutions, which are already in operation across 14 different countries, to the international expert audience.

The record number of visitors to the medavis booth and the strong response from potential business partners has reinforced the company’s growing international orientation and its position as a leading provider of transnational IT solutions for radiology.
