Call Center - Workstation for Appointment Scheduling

Since the end of 2002, we have been able to offer you a new module: the medavis Call Center.
The medavis Call Center provides easy access to the Scheduler with which you are already familiar from medavis RIS. You can assign each of the F1 to F12 function keys individually with Scheduler settings. Alternatively, you can call the respective scheduler setting by clicking on the button in the Call Center window which is assigned to the respective function key.
Here is a screenshot of the Call Center window:

If you call up the Scheduler using a function key or a button in the Call Center window, a Scheduler view is opened which shows the rooms which have been set for that function key.
Using the medavis Call Center, you can compile individual rooms or groups of rooms for the display in the Scheduler.
This means that appointments by phone can be made even quicker. Depending on the examination to be carried out, you can call the corresponding room in the medavis Call Center, see at a glance all appointments scheduled and can directly schedule a new appointment.
On the day of the examination, the receptionist can confirm the scheduled appointment and put the patient on the waiting list for the room in question.
The additional functionality that the receptionist uses is naturally not available in the medavis Call Center.
Scheduled appointments can be allocated with or without link to the patient and examination data managed in RIS.

Apart from the Scheduler, the medavis Call Center also includes the Mail Program which you know from medavis RIS. This means that using the medavis Call Center, the workstation used for making telephone appointments has all the necessary functions.
The following gives you an overview of the functionalities provided by the Mail Program and Scheduler integrated in the Call Center.

Functions in the integrated Scheduler

You can quickly select a day or week to view in the Scheduler using the date navigator. You can also access past or future appointments just as quickly.

Functions in the integrated Mail Program

  • Sending and receiving RIS mails

You can send mails to other medavis RIS users. You can answer incoming mails or forward them to other RIS users.

  • Notification of new RIS mails

You can be notified automatically of the receipt of a new mail by an optical signal.

  • Selecting a recipient from user list

You can select the recipient of a mail from the user list or write mails to several recipients of a user group.

  • Printing mail and mail lists

With the Mail Program you can print individual RIS mails, as well as lists of mails in the mail in- or out-box.

  • Automatic read confirmation

The Mail Program automatically registers if your mail has been read and displays the time in your in-box. You can therefore see whether the recipient has read a mail or not.
