Bahrain Defence Force Hospital runs medavis radiology software
The Bahrain Defence Force Hospital is now working with medavis radiology software solutions. The hospital decided on medavis following extensive research and a public tender bid. As the BDF hospital provides the region's premier healthcare services and is the second largest hospital in Bahrain, it was clear to the hospital's management that its radiology and nuclear medicine departments must utilise an advanced, reliable software system, capable of full integration into the existing IT infrastructure. And medavis' software does not, however, merely improve the quality and efficiency of the diagnostic imaging department.
All of the 4,000 medical staff and other employees in the 400 bed hospital now have access to the medavis radiological patient record which has been incorporated into the HIS system. The on-site installation, HIS/RIS integration, connection to 17 modalities, customisation and training were completed in just 2 weeks. The product's flexibility, combined with medavis' experience, enabled this effective implementation while continuously providing all diagnostic services.
