Billing Export (Switzerland)

In medavis RIS you create invoices and reminders very quickly and conveniently. In collaboration with the billing module and the preconfigured link with the appropriate TARMED fee codes, the system generates the billing almost fully automatically and performs a rule check. The accountant only has to check the finished invoice.

You can either send the invoices directly to the patients or transfer the invoice data to intermediates such as MediData or Ärztekasse, which then pass them on to the insurance companies. This is time-saving, cost-effective and reduces the number of reminders as well as queries from insurers. In accordance with the cantonal affiliation agreements, you can bill the insurers directly.

With the Billing Exporter you export your invoices and reminders created in medavis RIS in XML 4.5 format and import rejections and preliminary notices for the sent data. In the Tiers Payant you thus fulfill the criterion of “electronic billing”.

New: MediPort to be replaced by MediData network

With version 2.16 of the Billing Exporter, the new interface to the MediData network is available. You benefit from the latest technology and increased security with encrypted data transmission. The import of certificates is no longer necessary.

If you have used Mediport so far, you will transmit your billing data as usual via the Billing after the changeover. In addition, there are new functionalities in the Billing Exporter such as the display of the processing status of sent documents, the search for GLN of the insurers in the participant directory and notifications e.g. about undeliverable transport orders.

To enable you to access the MediData network, you will receive a MediData Box: This is new hardware that you install in your practice with little effort. The MediData Box serves as an additional security measure for the access to the MediData network. It works independently of the respective operating system and thus optimally protects your data against cyber threats.

If you have not yet applied for access to the MediData network or do not yet have a MediData Box, please contact MediData AG directly at 041 368 23 23 or
