More than ever before, it is important for patients today to be able to handle their own data in a self determined manner. The portal4med Patient Portal enables patients to access their own radiological images and reports online and to make them available to treating physicians quickly and easily. Patients themselves decide who gets to see the data.

Easy Online Access for Patients

Patients can access the portal from any internet-enabled device directly in the current browser to view all examination data from their radiology department. Using the access credentials on their patient ticket along with an additional second authentication factor.

We developed the portal4med patient portal to ensure that patients can navigate it easily and quickly. Thanks to the integrated viewer, they can access their radiological studies and medical reports and share them with their treating physicians if needed.

The patient portal supports the new DLX standard (DIN/TS 19455). Thanks to the Wallet integration, QR codes and DLX codes can be saved directly in the Apple or Google Wallet. Without an additional app or registration. This makes the exchange of medical image data even more digital and convenient.

Relief and cost savings

Through its seamless connection to medavis RIS, the portal4med Patient Portal is perfectly integrated into the radiology workflow. At the registration desk, an access ticket to the portal is generated. The ticket can be transmitted digitally via e-mail or it can be printed and handed out to the patient. It is also possible to automatically include the access data in the report.

This eliminates the effort and cost of burning CDs. After the examination, patients can leave the radiology department directly without having to wait again at the registration desk for a CD.

If the patient ticket is lost, the data access authorization can be cancelled in the patient portal.
